Born and raised in Orlando Florida, Jessica (also known as The Refined Chef Carmel) discovered her passion for food at a young age, captivated by the wonders of Food Network. Surrounded by delicious homemade meals crafted by her parents, she developed a discerning palate, making dining out a challenge.

At 17, Chef Carmel embarked a culinary journey in a fine dining establishment, fueling her dream of owning a restaurant. Yet, after six years, she found herself burnt out by the rigors of restaurant life. Realizing her true joy lays in creative expression, she ventured into private cooking.

Today, as a private chef and content creator, Chef Carmel merges her talents in teaching, innovation, and cooking to craft unique culinary experiences.
